Dr. Kreitzer graduated with AOA honors from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1985. Following a one-year internal medicine internship at Montefiore Medical Center, he completed his anesthesiology and pain management training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, serving as Chief Fellow his last year. From 1992 to 2004 he served as Director of the Pain Management Service and the Fellowship Training Program at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He left academics in 2004 and was one of the founding partners of Upper East Side Pain Medicine, LLC, a pain management practice specializing in interventional techniques and medication management, with offices in Manhattan and Astoria. In August 2014, Dr. Kreitzer joined AABP’s Pain Management Practice.
Dr. Kreitzer is Board Certified in Anesthesiology, and holds a certificate of Added Qualifications in Pain Management from the American Board of Anesthesiology. Since 1998, he has been listed yearly in New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors in NY” Issue. Dr. Kreitzer has also been listed yearly in past issues of the Castle Connolly publications America’s Top Doctors for Cancer, America’s Top Doctors and Top Doctors: New York Metro Area. He has been published in prestigious journals such as Anesthesiology, Anesthesia and Analgesia and the Clinical Journal of Pain, and has lectured both locally and internationally.
